Position of the base:

T straddles supine B, who places hands on T's hip bones, while T grasps B's wrists (picture 1). T then leans forward, resting the entire weight on B's arms, which should be approaching the perpendicular at this time. T lifts legs to the horizontal, arches back (picture 2), and extends arms to the sides as the balance is reached (picture 3). Since each performer's body structure will vary, B will have to experiment with the exact hand placement in order to find T's balance point.
B maintains the balance through wrist action, but T can initially assist by moving the arms forward or backward to determine the best position.
