Position of the base:

The flyer helps down his base and stands between the bases' legs. Flyer places his hands on the knees of the base and puts his shoulders in the hands. The base has his arms stretched and his fingers and thumbs point in the same direction.

The flyer jumps or rolls with retracted legs into the shoulderstand position. He stretches his arms as soon as his weight is above the arms of the base. When the flyer stretches his arms, the base pushes the shoulders of the flyer a bit towards his knees to prevent that the flyer loses contact with those knees.

When the shoulderstand is standing stable, the flyer can slowly stretch his legs. The base gives verbal directions regarding the position of the flyer: He has to be able see the flyer in one straight line. So he tells his flyer to show more legs or more ass.

Variations:

Loose shoulderstand, Shoulderstand to Frog

Spotting:

To the sides, at the hips of the flyer.
There is a risk that the flyer flips backwards. In that case, the base has to keep supporting the shoulders of the flyer in order for the flyer to land with his feet first on the ground. The spotter spots on that moment the back of the flyer.
